🛑 STOP! Don’t panic! And DO NOT buy something

🛑 STOP! Don’t panic! And DO NOT buy something new! This dress became like new in under ✨ 5 MINUTES ✨ even though this stain had likely been chilling for over a year. This hand wash only dress was stressing my pal out, but I was confident I could help a girl out, and it was WAY easier than expected!

Stains are always better treated as soon as possible but it doesn’t always work out that way!

To help you out in a pinch keep these items in your laundry closet:

▫️ Baking Soda
▫️ Vinegar
▫️ An old tooth brush
▫️ An undyed or white towel (stain removal can remove dyes from the towel, which may transfer onto the garment, we are trying to remove stains, not make more!)

Life as a working mom with young kids can get pretty hectic and it’s really hard to prioritize self care, let alone find time to work towards personal goals. To be honest, I’ve really struggled with the balancing act of activities, family time, self-care, work, the desire to have a social life AND find time to work towards my goals that fuel my purpose individually.

I’ve always been on the hunt for tools that can help sort out the million and one thoughts in my brain and help me prioritize. In the last couple years I’ve found two tools that are really helping - Atomic Habits (James Clear) and my Curation Planner by @saintbelford

💵 beat a financial savings goal (4 months early)

📚read the most books I’ve ever read in 7 months, beating my yearly goal (also 4 months early)

💪🏻 have found a new movement routine that has left me energized and feeling more confident

🧰 have tools to help me navigate a new ADHD diagnosis

Sure, I have empty weeks in my planner or get away from my habits every now & then but having them easily accessible (and in a beautiful planner I love to use) helps me get back on track easier than ever.

Do you love starting a new planner at the beginning of the year? Starting my 2025 planner will be a blast… but first I have to choose a colour….

Edie was given these sneakers second hand in great condition and I thought they would be a perfect back to school shoe - BUT summer had other plans 🤣

No fear, let me teach you how to clean white sneakers!

You will need: Oxi Clean, a toothbrush, a large bowl or sink and water! 💦 🧽 🪥

1) pull out shoelaces and soak them in a small bowl with hot water and @oxicleanofficial (not an ad!)

2) if you have spots that are a fabric and not leather make a paste with the Oxi Clean and hot water and lather it on with a toothbrush

3) if they are all fabric or the insides are nasty (Edie wore hers all summer with no socks including to the Sand Dunes with Grandma so…) then just fill a sink or large bowl with HOT water and Oxi Clean and dunk ‘em in!

4) Soak the laces and shoes as long as you can, ideally over night.

5) Using a shoe cleaning brush (I love Jason Mark, I can 🔗) scrub clean the shoes.

6) Throw the laces in with a load of whites and if they are kids shoes or a pair that’s not super special I honestly through mine in the wash at this point in hot water, more Oxi Clean and towels to dampen the loud clunks. Do not do this with your premium shoes - my Vejas don’t get cleaned this way!

6) let air dry - the insides will need extra time to dry if you throw them in the wash.

Save this so you can find it later!!

3] Colorado road trip bathroom decor - live laugh love

4] fixed up my old red boots to give them another life and I’m so excited for that decision! Fixed the stitching, recovered the leather heel and dyed the heel black (was brown). Another $60 will give my boots another decade!

5] my new fave bolo necklace from @hillbergandberk - it needs a mixed metal stack though. Currently scouting for the perfect silver chain!

ABOUT. LAST. NIGHT.

I was so honored to be invited to celebrate the new @hillbergandberk store opening in #yqr last night. This was such a special night because founder @rachelmielke has always been a source of inspiration, my supporter and mentor and even when I least expected it a reference on my resume. She has always believed and encouraged women to dream big and more importantly believes our dreams can come true.

I left last night feeling hopeful that my optimistic dreams that the fashion industry can do business while making positive change in our communities and the world is in fact a possibility. The fire is lit 🔥.

It’s so inspiring to be in a room of incredible women who believe the same and taking action. Thank you @hillbergandberk for inviting me to sit with these women who are doing such amazing things.

Especially @melissacoomber, @alexisohalexis and the team at @ywcaregina who have raised almost $70,000,000 for the KIKASKIHTÂNAW CENTRE
"THE PLACE WE ALL SUCCEED" (previously Centre for Women and Families). Last year @ywcaregina served ~8000 people and turned away ~4000 due to lack of space and limited resources. The new centre is going to be such an incredible asset to our community but we need your help!
